Client Case Study

Global Business Travel Association.

Global Business Travel Association Foundation

The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) Foundation connects the business travel world and promotes the value of business travel management by providing financial resources to conduct research initiatives, support educational and research offerings for business travel industry professionals, and provide scholarship opportunities for business travel professionals.

Continuing a 16-year relationship with ADS’ consultants, the Foundation retained Association Development Solutions (ADS) to conduct a $8 million capital campaign designed to fund research, global programming, and long-term sustainability. Securing the largest six and seven-figure commitments in the Foundation’s history, GBTA leaders and ADS executives exceeded the fundraising goal despite the declining economic conditions of the recession in 2008.

Following the 2008-2012 campaign effort, ADS  further assisted the Foundation in raising nearly $3 million in new dollars through ongoing fundraising services. As GBTA increased its international footprint, ADS also was retained to coordinate its global fundraising efforts, implementing development efforts in Europe, Latin America, and Asia.

Client: Comprehensive corporate and member fundraising solutions

Project: Fundraising for education and research for the business travel industry

Results: ADS consultants have assisted the GBTA Foundation with:

  • Raising nearly $20 million over a span of 15 years
  • Coordinating global fundraising efforts
  • Managing development offices in Europe, Asia, and Latin America

We have worked with ADS executives and consultants in various capacities for the past 15 years, together raising nearly $20 million to fund education and research for our industry. Their team approach and broad experience has provided our organization with the support and counsel to continually secure significant investment, maintain recurring partnerships, and even begin to expand globally.”
