The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) represents over 2,700 facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons throughout the world, making it the specialty’s largest association on the globe.

After conducting detailed feasibility and planning study, AAFPRS retained Association Development Solutions (ADS) to design a $4 million capital campaign in support of excellence in education, relevant and evidence-based research, and expansion of the humanitarian “Face To Face” programs. In just six months, AAFPRS and ADS leaders have secured more than $3 million in corporate and member support, setting the project on course to be a success.

American College of Phlebology
The American College of Phlebology (ACP) is a professional association with more than 2,000 members dedicated to setting the pace and direction of growth for the specialty of phlebology.


The ACP retained Association Development Solutions (ADS) executives to conduct a feasibility study, after which they designed a $2 million capital campaign to establish an ACP Foundation. In just 18 months, ACP leaders and ADS executives secured seven-figures in commitments from both the membership and the vending community, dramatically exceeding the goal. These commitments enabled ACP to launch its Foundation and enhance its education, research, and growth initiatives.

American College of Phlebology Foundation

American College of Phlebology

The American College of Phlebology (ACP) Foundation, founded in 2006, retained Association Development Solutions (ADS) to expand its base of support following a successful capital campaign. In partnership with the ACP Foundation leaders, ADS executives created annual appeal, major commitment, and special event fundraising programs for the Foundation, which collectively have achieved unprecedented levels of new giving. After only two years, these new programs doubled the Foundation’s base of support, ensuring the ACP Foundation’s strong and lasting future.

In October 2010, the ACP Foundation’s board commissioned a new feasibility study to analyze the potential for a second capital campaign to renew a minimum of $3 million of support for an expanded set of initiatives considered vital to the future advancement of the specialty. Begun in January 2011, this program secured nearly $2 million in renewed support through July 2011 within the organizational (non-public) phase of the capital initiative to put it on pace for a successful finish.

American College of Prosthodontists Education FoundationThe American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) is a professional association consisting of more than 3,300 members committed to representing the needs and interests of prosthodontists within organized dentistry, as well as public, by raising awareness and interest in the field of prosthodontics.

Recognizing the need to manage and balance shared corporate relationships between the College and its Foundation, the leadership of the ACP engaged the expanded services of Association Development Solutions (ADS) to renew the corporate relations program for its annual meeting, the Annual Session of the American College of Prosthodontists, while balancing the interests of its Foundation.

Since retaining ADS in 2009, ACP has experienced increased sponsorship for the Annual Session 148% over its best historic performance, maintained separation between the two (2) corporate relations programs and is currently on pace in 2011 to surpass even this mark.

American College of Prosthodontists Education Foundation
After a second successful capital campaign, Association Development Solutions (ADS) assisted the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) Education Foundation in conducting its annual appeal and maintaining donor relationships after a 2008 staffing change left it in need of additional administrative support. The ACP Education Foundation elected to completely outsource the conduct of its annual appeal to ADS, and as a result, saw its redemption rates improve to 99% while recovering over $500,000 in past uncollected commitments. In addition to annually conducting the appeal, the ACP Education Foundation relies on ADS executives to manage data, support its internal leaders, and consult on communication issues related to fundraising.

Furthermore, seeking to complete its existing development program by expanding available giving options, ACPEF has commissioned ADS to create the framework and support materials of a planned giving program for its interested supporters.

American Healthcare Radiology Administrators Education Foundation
(Feasibility Study & Campaign)


AHRA
American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA), the association for medical imaging management, is a professional organization of more than 4,000 members committed to developing the imaging professional at all levels. The AHRA Education Foundation is a non-profit foundation dedicated to education in the field of imaging management and related disciplines.

The AHRA Education Foundation retained Association Development Solutions (ADS) to develop and implement the Foundation’s first-ever campaign effort, a $2.5 million initiative, to support education and research. Informed by a comprehensive feasibility and planning study, AHRA leadership and ADS executives surpassed the initial goal in just 18 months, and in the process, secured the Foundation’s first seven-figure contribution that funded the its vision of creating an online education institute. Since the campaign, ADS has assisted the AHRA Education Foundation with securing renewable commitments from corporate stakeholders and members, increasing annual support 100% in just three years.

American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Foundation
(Campaign)

The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) is dedicated to advancing patient care and digestive health by promoting excellence in gastrointestinal endoscopy. With nearly 12,000 members worldwide, ASGE promotes the highest standards for endoscopic training and practice, furthers endoscopic research, and is a major resource for endoscopic education. The ASGE Foundation provides long-term financial support for ASGE by raising funds to help the Society pursue its mission.

The ASGE Foundation retained Association Development Solutions (ADS) to develop and implement a $6 million bricks and mortar campaign supporting the construction of an Institute for Training and Technology (IT&T). The institute will serve as the Global Home for Endoscopy, uniting gastrointestinal endoscopists worldwide. During the campaign’s initial approach, ADS consultants worked with the foundation to secure an unprecedented level of member investments, and within its first year, multiple six and seven-figure corporate commitments. The strong start to the campaign puts the project on pace to meet its goal.

American Society of Safety Engineers
(Assessment & Corporate Relations Strategy)

The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) is the oldest professional safety society and is committed to protecting people, property and the environment. The Society has an international membership consisting of more than 34,000 occupational safety, health and environmental (SH&E) professionals who manage, supervise, research and consult on safety, health, transportation and the environment around the globe and in all industries, government, labor and education.

The Society engaged Association Development Solutions (ADS) to design and assist with the execution of a new strategy for their corporate relations and sponsorship program. Securing multiple six-figure commitments, including two from non-traditional sources of support, ASSE saw an increase in corporate investment by more than 600% within twelve months. The increased corporate support spanned various ASSE educational offerings, existing communications, and priority initiatives within different mediums, including face-to-face events and web-based activities. In addition to securing unprecedented funding, the Society is beginning to experience a culture shift that fosters greater collaboration between professional members and industry supplier partners.

American Vascular Association

American Vascular AssociationFollowing a thorough and comprehensive planning study, American Vascular Association (AVA) retained Association Development Solutions (ADS) to conduct a $2 million capital campaign for education and research. The successful drive culminated with nearly $3 million pledged from members and corporations. Highlighting the effort was a historic $1 million commitment from Abbot Vascular. Prior to the campaign the Foundation was dependent upon annual support from the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS). The campaign eliminated this dependency on Societal funding and enabled the Foundation to serve as a catalyst for new SVS initiatives.

Exhibition Industry Foundation

Exhibition Industry FoundationIn 2003, the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) and the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) recognized the potential, and benefits, of collaboration and merged their foundations, creating the Exhibition Industry Foundation (EIF). Its core goals as an industry-wide resource are to fund research, education and industry promotion as well as fund initiatives from other organizations or individuals that focus on advancing the industry within these core areas.

The Foundation retained Association Development Solutions (ADS) to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study, after which ADS executives implemented a $1.5 million capital campaign. At its conclusion, the campaign surpassed its goal by a substantial amount, with numerous six-figure investments, during one of the most challenging times in the exhibitions and events industry’s history. Mike Cooke, former CEO of dmg world media, served as the Chair of EIF and of the campaign.

Global Business Travel Association Foundation
(Campaign)

GBTAThe Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) Foundation connects the business travel world and promotes the value of business travel management by providing financial resources to conduct research initiatives, support educational and research offerings for business travel industry professionals, and provide scholarship opportunities for business travel professionals.

Continuing a 14-year relationship with ADS’ consultants, the Foundation retained Association Development Solutions (ADS) to conduct a $4 million capital campaign designed to fund research, global programming, and long-term sustainability. Securing the largest six and seven-figure commitments in the Foundation’s history, GBTA leaders and ADS executives exceeded the fundraising goal despite the declining economic conditions of the recession in 2008.

Since the initial twelve-month effort, ADS has further assisted the Foundation in raising more than $1 million annually in new dollars through ongoing fundraising services. As GBTA increases its international footprint, ADS now has been retained to coordinate its global fundraising efforts, implementing and managing development offices in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Society of Surgical Oncology
(Corporate Relations, Foundation Organization & Vision Planning)

Founded in 1940, the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO) is a premier organization for surgeons and health care providers devoted to advancing and promoting the science and treatment of cancer.

The Society retained Association Development Solutions (ADS) to assist with revamping its corporate relations program and revitalizing its Foundation. After assessing the Society’s fundraising needs, ADS assisted SSO by reversing its declining corporate support and reducing its dependency on electronic education grants. Within 12 months of service, ADS helped SSO increase its annual revenue by more than 50%, exceed its 2010 fundraising goal by more than 33%, and secure the necessary funding to execute its new hands-on educational programming.

In addition, ADS played an instrumental role in guiding SSO in the development of its vision and the identification of the Society’s strategic priorities to attract funding for the next 3 to 5 years.
