American Society for Gastrointenstinal Endoscopy Foundation

The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) is dedicated to advancing patient care and digestive health by promoting excellence in gastrointestinal endoscopy. With nearly 12,000 members worldwide, ASGE promotes the highest standards for endoscopic training and practice, furthers endoscopic research, and is a major resource for endoscopic education. The ASGE Foundation provides long-term financial support for ASGE by raising funds to help the Society pursue its mission.

Since 2010, the ASGE Foundation and ADS have partnered together on two major fundraising initiatives that have generated nearly $10 million to date.

IT&T $6 Million Capital Campaign

The ASGE Foundation first retained Association Development Solutions (ADS) to design and implement a $6 million bricks and mortar campaign to support the construction of an Institute for Training and Technology (IT&T). Following a successful study that validated the feasibility of the campaign, ADS assisted the Foundation with organizing and executing the initiative.

During the campaign’s initial approach, ADS consultants worked with the Foundation to secure an unprecedented level of member investments and, within its first year, multiple six and seven-figure corporate commitments. Not only was the fundraising goal achieved 4 months ahead of schedule, it was ultimately exceeded it by more than 10%. Today, the ASGE IT&T Center serves as the Global Home for Endoscopy, uniting gastrointestinal endoscopists worldwide.

Beyond Our Walls $2.5 Million Capital Campaign

In January 2016, the ASGE Foundation enlisted ADS for a second time in order to test the feasibility of a major fundraising initiative to deliver innovative clinical education and practice improvement resources. With the results of the study confirming an overwhelming level of support for the initiative, the Foundation and ADS took immediate action, launching the $2.5 million Beyond Our Walls: The Future of Endoscopic Education and Practice Campaign.

Since the start of the campaign, ADS consultants have worked closely with the Foundation to secure a seven-figure lead investment, several six-figure commitments, and an unparalleled level of member giving. Still underway, the Beyond Our Walls campaign continues to realize success and is on pace to exceed the fundraising goal ahead of schedule.

"Despite a weak economy, ASGE hired ADS to conduct a feasibility study to embark on a capital campaign to raise funds for a new building project. Based on the results of the study, ASGE retained ADS to consult on an ambitious fundraising initiative to construct this state of the art hands on training and education center.  The counsel from ADS was extraordinary and well received by the physicians and the staff as they guided ASGE toward unprecedented contributions from both members and corporate constituents.  The campaign was ahead of schedule from the beginning and the goal was reached four months ahead of schedule.  If your organization is looking to enhance your fundraising and development programs, I strongly recommend the innovative professionals at ADS Fundraising.”
